The World Health Organization South-East Asia Regional Office invites individuals of all ages to join an art competition being organized on the occasion of World Health Day, celebrated to mark the foundation of the World Health Organization on 7 April 1948. The theme of the art competition is ‘Make primary health care work: find and include those not getting health care.’ Primary health care is the cornerstone of universal health coverage (UHC), which seeks to ensure everyone everywhere gets the health care they need, without facing financial hardship. UHC is a flagship priority programme of WHO in South-East Asia Region. It’s now also a global priority of WHO and at the center of the health targets of the Sustainable Development Goals. The focus is to ‘leave no one behind’. With a focus on equity, on this World Health Day, WHO asks everyone to join hands to identify and include those not getting health care services. These may include any services – for example, for prevention, promotion, treatment or rehabilitation Here is your opportunity to contribute to create awareness, through your creativity.
